Amy’s Brief Bio

Amy Wachspress has her M.A. in English Language and Literature and has worked as a writer, editor, scenic artist, scenic carpenter, welder, Head Start administrator, and nutritionist (she is a certified holistic nutritionist). She makes her bread-and-butter income as a grant writer. She is the author of the children’s fantasy adventure The Call to Shakabaz (Woza Books, 2007) and the adult novel Memories from Cherry Harvest (Counterpoint Press, 2012). She and her husband Ron Reed raised their three children in rural northern California on forty acres of remote forest on a dirt road leading to a magical cherry orchard. In 2021 they decamped to the Pacific Northwest to live near their grandchildren.
